The internet has literally connected us to the world, and this week's experience is about both local and global collaboration. In section 7A, we'll take a look at how we can connect to a variety of backgrounds and cultures. You'll see how one local high school math teacher connected with math teacher in Russia, and sent math challenges back and forth to their students in a friendly competition. You'll learn of an elementary classroom where the students build traditional northwest native American canoes. In 7B, you'll learn ways that students can collaborate to solve important issues and problems. Section 7C will let you dive into how you can make group work successful and productive. In section 7D, you'll discover how students can explore local and global issues, and work collaboratively with others to come up with some great solutions.
This week, we'll also focus on becoming more fluent with communicating with video. You'll create and edit a short 1-3 minute video podcast that would be applicable to your students (or future students). Then we'll share them with each other in the experience 7 discussion - Video Podcasts.
